Damien Rice / Lisa Hannigan /// Braveheart /// *

I Remember

i remember it well, the first time that i saw
your head around the door, 'cause mine stopped working

i remember it well, there was wet in your hair
i was stood in stare, and time stopped moving

i want you here tonight, i want you here
'cause i can't believe what i found
i want you here tonight, want you here
nothing is taking me down, down, down

i remember it well, taxied out of a storm
to watch you perform, and my ships were sailing

i remember it well, i was stood in your line
and your mouth, your mouth, your mouth

i want you here tonight, i want you here
'cause i can't believe what i found
i want you here tonight, want you here
nothing is taking me down, down, down

except you, my love

Exit Music (For A Film)

wake from your sleep
the drying of your tears
today we escape, we escape

pack and get dressed
before your father hears us
before all hell breaks loose

breathe, keep breathing
don't lose your nerve
breathe, keep breathing
i can't do this alone

sing us a song
a song to keep us warm
there's such a chill, such a chill

you can laugh, a spineless laugh
we hope your rules and wisdom choke you
now we are one in everlasting peace

we hope that you choke, that you choke

Lonely, Dear

I Love You (In With The Arms)

in with the dark nights, in with the weight down clouds
suburbs and stations, longrange trains coming in
how can you manage, how can you bear me now
coming in fast, bringing the lights
keeping me calm, keeping me calm like you do
i'm tearing us down, how can you do? keeping me down

in with the trains, rushing through the lands
in with the aeroplanes, breaking through heavy nights
where does it go? when does it sleep again
off with the devils, off with the devils
keeping me calm, keeping me calm like you do
i love you, i love you, keeping me down

bring in the warmth, bring in the comfort to me
come over dance with me, come on over dance with me
keeping me calm, keeping me calm like you do
i love you, i love you, off with the boards
off with whats keeping me down, in with the arms
in with what's keeping me calm, i cannot go, i cannot do
in with the arms, in with what's keeping me calm

Hang On To A Dream

what can i say, she's walking away
from what we've seen
what can i do, still loving you
it's all a dream
how can we hang on to a dream
how can it ever be the way it seems

what can i do, she's saying we're through
with how it was
what will i try, i still don't see why
she says what she does

what can i say, she's walking away
from what we've seen
what can i do, still loving you
it's all a dream

how can we hang on to a dream
how can it ever be the way it seems
how can we hang on to a dream

how can we hang on to a dream
how can it will it be the way it seems
how can we hang on to a dream

Night

Beethoven / Sonata for Piano No. 8 'Pathetique' in C minor, Op. 13 - Adagio cantabile

Dance Me To The End Of Love

dance me to your beauty with a burning violin
dance me through the panic 'til i'm gathered safely in
lift me like an olive branch and be my homeward dove
dance me to the end of love

oh, let me see your beauty when the witnesses are gone
let me feel you moving like they do in babylon
show me slowly what i only know the limits of
dance me to the end of love

dance me to the wedding now, dance me on and on
dance me very tenderly and dance me very long
we're both of us beneath our love, we're both of us above
dance me to the end of love

dance me to the children who are asking to be born
dance me through the curtains that our kisses have outworn
raise a tent of shelter now, though every thread is torn
dance me to the end of love

dance me to your beauty with a burning violin
dance me through the panic till i'm gathered safely in
touch me with your naked hand or touch me with your glove
dance me to the end of love

Leonard Cohen

Amo-te

[ amo como ama o amor
não conheço nenhuma outra razão para amar senão amar
que queres que te diga, além de que te amo
se o que quero dizer-te é que te amo ? ]

Little Did I Know

little did I know
that i almost let you go
until i caught a glimpse of life
without you

little did i know
how deep these roots had grown
until I felt the earth quake here
without you

and this ache is gonna break me love
until you come back home
right or wrong
there is no home without you

and these eyes are never gonna dry
i never knew how i could cry
until I thought i'd really lost you
little did i know that i almost let you go
until i caught a glimpse of life
without you

Can I Keep Him?

in the end
there was no one to see
no helicopters in the sky the next day
or the day after
no one was searching
'cause no one knew he was missing

he followed me home
can i keep him?
he followed me

a pretty boy like you
with hands that could break me in two
but don't
breaking away gently

he's still warm
and close to me
i can see tears in his eyes
and i feel better

"Can I Keep Him ?" Anja Garbarek

As You Do

i need you to love me
as you do
i wish you to love me
as you did

and i can’t ask you
to take me and be true
but i can ask you
to love me as you do

but i can’t pull you out of this
can’t love, love reward us?

i need you to love me / as you do
but i wish you to love me / as you did

and i can’t ask you / to take me and be true
but i can ask you / to love me as you do

a trip out of town / as the moon goes down
and the faster we move / the faster we’re found

and the closer we get
the brighter it sets
the lower it gets

Paula Rego

Sim * / Portugal Mais Livre

«Fiz estes trabalhos para Portugal, revoltada
com o que se passou no referendo sobre o aborto»,
diz a pintora, que tem ainda nas suas memórias
vividas do país as situações dramáticas que
testemunhava na Ericeira quando as mulheres
dos pescadores, rodeadas de filhos, lhe pediam
o dinheiro necessário para os desmanchos.
-
Paula Rego desenha adolescentes e jovens

Sleep Don't Weep

sleep, don't weep, my sweet love
your face is all wet and your day was rough
so do what you must do to find yourself
wear another shoe, paint my shelf
those times that i was broke, and you stood strong
i think i found a place where i...

sleep, don't weep, my sweet love
your face is all wet, 'cause our days were rough
so do what you must do to fill that hole
wear another shoe to comfort the soul
those times that i was broke, and you stood strong
i think i found a place where I feel i will...

sleep, don't weep, my sweet love
my face is all wet, 'cause my day was rough
so do what you must do to find yourself
wear another shoe, paint my shelf
those times that i was broke, and you stood strong
i hope i find a place where i feel i belong

sleep, don't weep, my sweet love
my face is all wet, 'cause my day was rough
